About the Role

The Case Worker (what we call a Koorta Guide) is a critical role for Adult and Children clients within the Karlup Service - a specialised FDV service offering support to residential and community clients. Koorta is a Noongar word which means "trusted one". Koorta Guides are at the heart of the Karlup Service model and play a critical role in supporting women and their children throughout their journey of healing and recovery by walking alongside them to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, work collaboratively to develop a plan for their future, and provide practical support to access internal offerings and navigate external support services.

This is a permanent full time role working 38 hours per week between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

What we're looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in working effectively with children and young people who have experienced family and domestic violence.
  • Ability to provide tailored support through assessing individual needs and developing comprehensive case management plans.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilising case management tools and frameworks.
  • Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with a suite of offerings staff, women and their children to ensure coordinated support.
  • Commitment to advocating for the rights, wellbeing, and best interests of children.
  • Strong skills in liaising with Child Protection and other external agencies to achieve integrated outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
