About the Opportunity

Hatchit Studios is seeking
Senior Software Engineers (SD-WAN Engineers)
to support a
federal government client
in the delivery of secure and scalable ICT network solutions. These roles will focus on the
design, deployment, and integration of SD-WAN and firewall technologies
across a high-security environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit existing WAN architecture and connectivity
  • Define firewall placement strategies
  • Configure firewalls and SD-WAN routing rules
  • Enable centralised policy management and validate failover mechanisms
  • Integrate firewall capabilities into SD-WAN devices
  • Implement network segmentation enhancements
  • Provide technical input across Juniper, Cisco, Fortigate, Zscaler, F5, Clearswift, Trend Micro, Runzero, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies
  • Contribute to technical documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum
    5+ years' experience
    designing, deploying, and managing
    SD-WAN solutions
  • Hands-on experience integrating
    enterprise-grade firewalls
    into complex SD-WAN environments
  • Ability to produce detailed
    design and implementation plans
  • Strong diagnostic and
    problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a
    team member
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication
    skills

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of government directions, emerging technologies, and their business applications
  • Stakeholder management and client service experience
  • Knowledge of
    ASD Essential 8
    and ICT system security accreditation
  • Experience working with
    highly secured networks and cryptography solutions
