City Presentation delivers a range of services that provide clean, well-presented public spaces in the Penrith Local Government Area. About the role
The successful applicant must be available to commence by the end of July 2025.
In this temporary full-time position will work as part of Council's Bushland Management team focused on the ongoing restoration of local bushland including critically endangered ecological communities and threatened species. A key outcome of the team's work, that this role will support, continues to be the control and eradication of priority weeds and in developing strategies to improve the conservational outcomes of the bushland within the local area.
Essential criteria
- Willingness to undertake and complete a TAFE Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management
- Interest in pursuing a career in Bush Regeneration or Environmental Management
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Class C Driver Licence
- Willingness to obtain Work Safely in the Construction Industry (WorkCover White Card)
Commencing salary: $43, $49,280.40 plus 12% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award dependent upon your age.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
