About the role
The successful applicant must be available to commence by the end of July 2025.
As a Civil Construction Trainee you will be required to perform a variety of tasks in civil construction projects, while ensuring the efficient and safe completion of work in accordance with project specifications and standards. You will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a great way to kick start your career.
Essential criteria
- Willingness to undertake and complete a Trade Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Interest in pursuing a career in Civil Construction
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Class C Driver Licence
- Willingness to obtain Work Safely in the Construction Industry (WorkCover White Card)
Commencing Salary: $43, $49,280.40 plus 12% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award dependent upon your age.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
