About the Role

As a Business Assurance and Controls Manager in our Australia Retail segment, you'll play a key role in helping to putting the foundations in place-with the right tools, systems, structure and capability- to support the Retail Division and deliver the best outcomes for customers-not just for today, but into the future. This role is responsible for Analysing, assessing and reporting a broad range of data to provide value add insights and supporting the Business and Control Owners in developing effective controls both in the business and for the E2E risk management to manage key risks in order to protect ANZ from risk that is caused by inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events. Some of the roles that align to this role may have a component of their roles with a compliance element.

What will your day look like?

As a Business Assurance and Controls Manager, you will:

Building and maintaining relationships including influencing stakeholders across multiple portfolios to uplift the E2E risk and control environment Providing control objectives and compliance support (incl. support of control design) including value chain controls relied upon by the businessesSupporting the business in actioning outcomes of thematic reviews and deep dives by Line 2 and 3, and other hot spots identified through trend analysis such as events management.Supporting the E2E value chain with reviewing their risk profiles and control environment. Overseeing and supporting the E2E value chain with risk treatment plans; Overseeing and supporting the E2E value chain with regular risk reviews (e.g., High/Extreme risk reviews etc)Facilitating and participating (as needed) in Risk Management Forums (RMFs) including preparation and presentation of specialist content for the E2E forums (example ERGF, CGF, CAF etc).Providing guidance to the Business on how to conduct change risk impacts and risk assessments (incl. CRMA/ORAs) and how to manage risks related to change implementation and where required for changes across the Division  What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Deep experience across the CR&R, retail distribution and product lifecycle to enable E2E oversight of value chain processes.Experience in risk management/ compliance; OR internal / external auditing.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the E2E value chain (i.e., 4+ Portfolios) to develop effective operational risk management solutionsAble to develop and use analytical insights and data across the E2E value chain to identify opportunities to better balance risk with customer propositions and help drive critical business decisions by analysing metrics, designing reports and writing risk submissionsA desire to create a thorough understanding of how our customers and bankers relate and react to embedding risk management in everyday activitiesWillingness to look at things differently, effectively challenge the status quo and innovate the CRR Assurance solutions and service provided to the Retail DivisionStrong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships across the value chain through a collaborative approach
