About This Opportunity  

Bring your expertise in ERP systems and functional design to this senior role supporting UQ's enterprise systems landscape. As a Principal Analyst, you'll play a key part in designing and implementing configuration changes, leading production support activities, and driving continuous improvement across complex system environments. You'll provide expert technical advice, mentor team members, and contribute to projects that enhance UQ's business efficiency and system reliability.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Designing, configuring, testing, and documenting ERP system solutions that meet business needs and align with best practice.

  • Providing Tier 2 support and acting as an escalation point for complex system and user issues.

  • Identifying system inefficiencies and recommending improvements to optimise functionality and processes.

  • Leading or contributing to small-to-medium projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and change management activities. 

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to the end of October 2026 at HEW Level 7. 

About You  

You're an experienced analyst with strong functional and technical knowledge of ERP platforms and a proven ability to deliver effective, scalable, and user-focused solutions. You combine analytical thinking with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, mentoring others while ensuring service excellence.

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in IT or a related field, with extensive relevant experience in ERP system support and configuration.

  • Proven expertise providing functional advice and configuration across complex ERP or corporate systems.

  • Experience in system configuration, testing, and documentation, including peer code review participation.

  • Strong understanding of agile and software development lifecycle methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical leadership to team members.

  • Proven ability to manage workload, work autonomously, and meet service delivery expectations.

  • Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality system outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Experience configuring solutions within Workday and Aurion.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, etc.
