The Opportunity

We are expanding our specialist
Access Consulting
division and are seeking an experienced
Senior Access Consultant
to join our collaborative team.

You will manage a portfolio of commercial, educational, health, aged-care, and government projects across NSW, ACT and VIC, providing expert guidance on accessibility compliance from concept design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex accessibility assessments for large-scale commercial developments.
  • Review architectural plans and documentation to ensure compliance with the
    Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
    and
    National Construction Code (NCC)
    .
  • Prepare detailed access reports and recommend practical design solutions.
  • Liaise with architects, developers, councils, and certifiers to achieve compliance outcomes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvement and best practices.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in
    Architecture, Building Surveying, Access Consulting, or related discipline
    .
  • Membership with the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA)
    or eligibility for full membership.
  • Minimum
    5 years' professional experience
    in Access Consulting, including leadership on major commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of the
    NCC – Building Code of Australia
    and the
    Disability Discrimination Act
    .
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current Australian driver's license.
  • Must be an
    Australian or New Zealand citizen
    , permanent resident, or hold
    unlimited Australian working rights
    .
  • Located within a
    commutable distance to Parramatta, NSW
    , or willing to relocate.
