this leadership role, you will guide and mentor the Development Engineering
team to deliver high-quality outcomes for our growing community. You'll oversee
the assessment of development applications, provide expert engineering advice,
and ensure drainage and civil works comply with Council standards. This is your

What you'll do
As
Development Engineering Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, guide and motivate the Development Engineering team on
projects and daily tasks. - Provide specialist engineering advice for the review and approval
of stormwater drainage and civil works associated with development
proposals. - Ensure development approvals align with legislation, planning
permits, Council policies, and engineering standards. - Deliver timely and accurate advice to the community, Councillors,
and internal teams. - Contribute to the development and delivery of Council's drainage
infrastructure program, from investigation through to handover for
construction. - Participate in policy development and the preparation of stormwater
management strategies.
What you'll bring
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised
by Engineers Australia. - Current registration as a practising professional engineer under
the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 (Vic) (or eligible
for exemption as provided by the Act). - Demonstrated experience leading and supervising technical staff,
consultants, and contractors. - Strong technical knowledge in development and stormwater drainage
engineering, including OSD4 software or equivalent hydraulic modelling. - Ability to prepare complex reports and represent Council at VCAT,
Panels, and with external stakeholders. - Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and
government processes relating to development engineering and drainage
systems.

- A permanent full-time position, salary from $105,724.83 to
$117,953.20 per annum (excluding Super). - 18 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/2 weeks of paid
parental leave – partner. - Flexible work and leave arrangements, with a monthly RDO.
