The Role:
In this position of corrosion engineer, you will be accountable for assisting engineering projects ensuring they are completed within specified timeframes and budget, ensuring zero harm and to a high-quality standard.

Your role will provide you with a wide range of experiences, including:
- Assisting in the development of project management skills
- Gaining expertise in a specialised area of engineering
- Participating in investigations related to corrosion protection of metals and concrete
- Contributing to recommendations on the prevention and mitigation of corrosion
- Assisting in advanced technical duties related to the inspection, testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of corrosion protection systems
- Collaborating on projects involving public and private utilities, including water, gas and hydrocarbon production, treatment, transmission, and distribution
- Learning about cathodic protection (CP) surveys on various structures such as pipelines, underground storage tanks, water reservoirs and tanks, wharves, bridges, aquatic centres, and boats
Special Factors
- Frequent work away from home location will be required. All accommodation, travel and meals are provided.
- Frequently work independently and occasionally in remote areas.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Recently graduated or obtained a relevant engineering degree or Certification as a Corrosion Technician or Corrosion Technologist by the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) or Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP)
- A valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Company's Vehicle Insurance Policy
- A Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- The ability to satisfactorily attain a First Aid certificate
- The ability to satisfactorily attain other relevant certifications, such as Restricted Electrical Worker's licence (REL), Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
