At Hammill House, part of Port Pirie Regional Health Service, we're seeking a dynamic Nurse Unit Manager – Aged Care to champion quality care and lead a passionate multidisciplinary team. This is your opportunity to create meaningful impact in the lives of residents, staff and the broader community.
As the pivotal leader within our residential aged care team, you'll drive excellence in clinical care, manage resources effectively, and embed a culture of safety, compassion and continuous improvement—all aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team
- Oversee clinical care delivery, documentation and risk management
- Drive quality improvement, safety, and compliance
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners
- Champion consumer engagement and family-centred care
- Manage resources, recruitment, rostering and staff development
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- At least 3 years' post-registration nursing experience
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in aged care and team supervision
- Knowledge of aged care legislation, standards and reporting
- Tech-savvy with systems like LeeCare and Microsoft Office
