Grand Pacific Health (GPH) is a for-purpose community-based organisation. GPH provides high quality health services to assist people in the management of their physical and mental health. GPH's mission is to provide equitable heath care with an emphasis on helping vulnerable and at risk of disadvantage populations as well as regional communities.
GPH employs over 400 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT.
About the position
This position will be based at our Shellharbour hub, working across headspace Shellharbour and Medicare Mental Health Centre Shellharbour.
headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. Medicare Mental Health Centres offer comprehensive, recovery focused supports for people 16 years and older experiencing moderate to severe mental health presentations. Both programs offer comprehensive, collaborative person-centred recovery-oriented services delivered by multidisciplinary teams.
The Administration Officer is responsible for delivering high quality, customer-facing administrative services to support the effective operation of the office hub. As the first point of contact for consumers and visitors, both at reception and over the phone, this role provides welcoming, responsive and professional front-of-house services that reflect GPH's values.
This is a part-time opportunity (25 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive), 12 months fixed term with possibility for extension.
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant qualifications in administration and or a combination of relevant training and experience in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in delivering high-quality customer service in a front-of-house or consumer-facing role
- Ability to engage effectively and respectfully with a wide diversity of people, including those experiencing mental health difficulties or distress
