Role Description

This is a full-time role for Lead and Principal Software Engineers based in Hawthorn, VIC, with some flexibility for remote work. The engineers will be responsible for leading teams in software development, developing back-end web applications, programming, and utilizing object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Day-to-day tasks include:

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and performant solutions.
• You put forward ideas about how we improve our codebase, systems and way of working.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to aid the development of the team.
• Participating in solution design, development and testing activities.
• Building the solution and presenting to stakeholders.
• Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training.
• Collaborating with team members ensuring delivery is met.
• Upskilling, Continuous Learning – for career and personal development.
• Participation with networking, dev days, hackathons, etc.

About you:

• You are an experienced Principal, Lead or Senior Engineer with advanced programming skill with 
  C#, .NET, SQL,
  TypeScript, React.
• Expert understanding of advanced patterns and practices.
• Ability to lead a team on both technical guidance and mentoring.
• Knowledge or prior experience with Security Processes / Applications (OWASP?).
• Ability to engage with various team members, demonstrate sound analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive team player with the ability encourage and motivate the team.
• You are able to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
• The desire to increase knowledge and skills when circumstances call for additional learning.
• Thinking outside the box with a birds eye view approach.
