Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Software Tester (.Net) based in Hawthorn, VIC with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Software Tester will be responsible for executing tests, creating and maintaining test cases, and ensuring the quality and stability of our software products. Daily tasks include analyzing requirements, performing software testing, and working closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects. The role also involves reporting on testing activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.

This role involves both Manual and Automation Testing.

• Manual - Scripted Testing - System, Functional, System Integration and Integration testing along with creating/maintaining test mocks and stubs. Can review architecture diagram, technical able to write code not just use a testing tool, front end.
• Automation Frameworks - Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Advocate ideas about how we improve our existing Automated Testing Framework (.NET) and Automate complex Testcases.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to aid the development of the Test Automation team.
• Upskilling and Continuous Learning for Professional/Personal development. Identify, document and track software defects.
• Collaborate with development team to conduct root cause analysis of identified issues.

About you:

• A Senior Test Engineer with high skills in .NET, SQL, Advanced C# and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Strong experience with Automation and Manual testing.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing lifecycle.
• Ability to create and execute both Manual and Automated tests.
• Ability to Develop and implement detailed test cases and Automated test scripts based on software requirements/technical specifications/acceptance criteria.
• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and other test documentation.
• Experience building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern browser behavior, performance considerations and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to engage with various team members, demonstrate sound analytical, design and problem-solving skills. Positive, proactive team player with the ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
• You are able to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
• The desire to increase knowledge and skills when circumstances call for additional learning.
• Ability and willingness to work with own initiative, improve current knowledge and skills and be open to challenges.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, business analysis and task management skills.
• Ability to write and maintain coherent, accurate, useful and readable documentation.
• Excellent inter-personal communication and team management skills.

Any skills with the following will be highly desired:

JavaScript HTML5, CSS across modern frameworks & Typescript Cypress Domain Boundaries Mobile App Automation Testing (iOS and Android).
