About the role
- Deliver best practicable assessment outcome, in either repair cost or total loss (i.e. Closed File Reviews, Open File Reviews etc.).
- Comply with motor assessing process, guidelines, allowances parts policy, severity coding requirements and repairer standards.
- Wherever appropriate, apply repair cost benchmarking, alternative parts reporting and scorecards to improve repairer performance.
- Contribute to improving the customer service of Selected and non-Selected repairers.
- Provide customers with access to the prompt resolution of complaints, including repair warranty, service related and other issues.
- Meet or exceed productivity objectives.
- Complete total loss reports within 24 hours of assessment wherever practicable.
About You
- Trade qualification and significant post-apprenticeship experience in their profession as a panel beater, spray painter or motor mechanic; or significant experience as a motor insurance assessor, or completion of the CAC approved units of the Certificate IV Vehicle Loss Assessing Course (desired).
- Experience in repair shop management / estimating and in motor vehicle assessing practices and in the provision of damaged vehicle quotations. (desired).
- Quoting experience (desired).
- A current driver's license.
- Good understanding of the Motor Vehicle Insurer and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity and provide pragmatic commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
