About the position:

Are you ready to keep things running smoothly? As the Supervisor Mechanical Services South, you'll play a key role in ensuring the Council's fleet and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively as well as leading and supervising Council teams in the relevant work area of the Fleet & Logistics Branch.

• This is a permanent full-time position based at the Pittsworth Depot.
• The annual salary range for this position is $81, $87,550.25 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

About the Team, Facilities and Plant:

The Fleet includes light vehicles, prime movers & trailers and heavy earth moving plant.

Council has a modern fleet that is maintained via workshops located at Charlton, Crows Nest and Pittsworth with expansion in progress for field servicing.

How to be successful in this position:

Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:

Mandatory

• Minimum Certificate III Mechanic/Diesel Fitter from a recognised tertiary institution
• WH&S Competency Card for CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or a willingness to obtain this card before commencement.
• Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
• Experience as a Mechanic/Diesel Fitter working with a range of plant and equipment.

Desirable

• Current 'HR' Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence and 'LF' – Forklift High Risk Work Licence.
• Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (automotive).
• Current Queensland Transport Examiner Licence.
• Competencies in operation of a range of plant and equipment.
