Primary objective

Provide a high level of administrative support to the Police, Fire and Emergency Services (PFES) College Learning and

Development Unit including assisting with educational development, quality assurance and coordinating training activities.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide administrative support services to ensure processes and guidelines are developed, implemented and maintained

in accordance with College Training Quality Framework requirements.

  1. Maintain appropriate systems to coordinate, record and track continuous improvement measures and tasks/projects

assigned.

3. Assist with the development and review of college training and assessment resources using MS Office and e-learning

technologies.

4. Undertake research, gather and maintain statistical data to assist in developing and producing high quality reports and

documentation.

  1. Maintain effective relationships with all levels of staff within the College and external stakeholders.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Experience in administrative coordination and support of education course/programs in an adult education context.

2. High level of client focussed services and ability to use initiative, solve problems and make informed decisions.

3. Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to investigate issues and maintain high standards of accuracy.

4. Demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills with capacity to prioritise competing requirements,

balance changing priorities, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.

5. Well-developed knowledge of computer information systems and applications, including word processing, spreadsheets

and databases for the extraction and manipulation of data and report writing.

6. Sound oral and written communication skills.

Desirable

1. Experience in using Content Manager (TRM), SharePoint, VETrak or other training / student management systems.
