Disability Support Workers Needed

Position: Casual Disability Support Worker

Location: Central Coast

Hours: 10 to 30 + hours PW (hours will increase over time)

What You'll Do:

  • Empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and dreams
  • Promote active participation and inclusion within the community
  • Assist with skill development, social activities, and personalized care plans
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Key Requirements:

  • Available Monday - Sunday
  • Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Minimum of less than 1 year experience supporting individuals with disabilities is required
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities and a collaborative team approach
  • Proficiency in using Client Record Management Systems
  • Comprehensive training will be provided for Client Record Management Systems
  • Proficiency in writing reports such as daily progress notes and incident reports when required.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in personal support
  • Registered and insured motor vehicle
  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position

Qualifications & Training:

  • Valid Australian driver's licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • Current Police Check
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS New Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • CERT III in Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, or Individual Support
  • Half of the required certifications can be obtained after commencement of employment
