To support this growth, we're looking for a skilled RFP Writer and Content Manager to craft compelling proposals and high-impact content that showcases the value of our solutions. This role is ideal for professionals with proven experience in bid, tender, or proposal writing who excel at translating complex information into clear, persuasive narratives.

If you're a strong writer with an eye for detail and a passion for helping schools succeed, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Senior RFP Writer and Content Manager, you'll be responsible for developing high-quality, compelling bid and tender documents that communicate the value of Compass' solutions to prospective clients from initial enquiry to project handover.

This includes:

  • Being a subject matter expert on Compass' key features, technical specifications, and benefits of our products and services.
  • Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties related to bidding, estimating, and project kick-off.
  • Prioritising competing deadlines and manage multiple bid projects simultaneously.
  • Managing and maintaining our bid collateral library, including standard responses and template materials, which is used as a repository to supplement the development of future submissions.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices in bid writing and procurement for education technology.
  • Ensuring that all bids are compliant with statutory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conducting quality reviews and proofread bid responses to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a professional presentation.
  • Implementing feedback from unsuccessful bids to continuously improve bid quality and outcomes, providing input into developing strategies that will improve the company's win ratio.

About You

You're detail-oriented and energised by crafting persuasive content that drives real-world impact.

You may be currently working in bid writing, proposal development or content roles, ideally within a high-growth SaaS company and you're now ready for greater ownership and the opportunity to shape winning submissions that make a tangible difference for schools.

You'll bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in bid, tender, or proposal writing, ideally within an education technology, SaaS, or technology-driven environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to blend technical, persuasive, and creative writing techniques as needed.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes in Australia (highly desirable).
  • Experience with project management processes and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities to meet submission timelines.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, able to manage multiple competing projects and meet deadlines.
  • A motivated, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A true passion about education technology and improving outcomes for schools, teachers, and students.

What's in it for you?

  • We come together with our unique strengths to work towards a common purpose - shaping the future of education. When you join our team, you will collaborate with individuals who are passionate, driven, and open to embracing change in a fast-paced environment
