This organisation is a major player in Australia's automotive finance sector, known for its strong heritage and commitment to innovation. Its Fleet Operations team is looking for Repair Authorisation Consultants to support the maintenance of a national fleet exceeding 52,000 vehicles, ranging from passenger cars to light commercial units.
Your new role
As a key member of the team, you'll:
- Review and approve vehicle repair and maintenance requests, applying your automotive expertise to ensure safety and cost-efficiency.
- Liaise with service providers and tyre suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and timely service.
- Monitor compliance across the fleet, ensuring all vehicles meet legal, safety, and operational standards.
- Manage a high volume of daily phone interactions with professionalism and clear communication.
- Accurately update fleet systems with detailed service records and authorisations.
- Minimise vehicle downtime by streamlining the quote and approval process.
- Work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and provide support.
- Handle invoice processing and respond to email queries promptly.
You'll have full flexibility to work a rotating roster from Monday to Friday between 7.30am to 6.00pm, along with a Saturday shift from 7.30am to 1pm every 9 weeks approx.
Post training, this role offers hybrid working arrangements with 3 days work from home per week.
What you'll need to succeed
- A background in automotive trades or equivalent experience in fleet maintenance is desirable.
- Strong customer service experience in an automotive related industry.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Solid understanding of industry regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude and a collaborative mindset.
