Your day as an Advisor Strategic Communications

As an Advisor, Strategic Communications at NSW Treasury, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the broader communications team within NSW Treasury. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Coordinating, researching, writing, and assisting with the production of content for key internal communications channels, including e-newsletters, intranet articles, videos, and more.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of communications strategies for topics such as diversity and inclusion, staff awards, all-staff surveys, and other organisational priorities.
  • Assisting with the project management and delivery of key internal staff events (both in-person and virtual).
  • Acting as a business partner to branches and divisions to support the creation, implementation, and measurement of internal communications campaigns.
  • Managing and maintaining content on the Treasury intranet, ensuring consistency, relevancy, and timeliness.
  • Partnering with the wider communications team to deliver on key business priorities.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, or a related area and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in internal or external communications, with strong written and verbal skills and an open communication style.
  • Intermediate camera and video editing skills.
  • Experience in coordination or project management, with attention to detail and excellent planning and organisation skills.

Eligibility
