Temporary part time opportunity to perform a variety of laboratory procedures and investigations associated with a cellular therapy program including allogeneic or autologous transplantation of haemopoietic progenitor cells or the provision of chimeric antigen receptor T-cells.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Perform simple to complex laboratory procedures in accordance with written and approved standard operating procedures, involving the collection, transportation, processing, cryopreservation, storage, quality assurance, release and infusion of haemopoietic progenitor cells for allogeneic and autologous transplantation or mononuclear cells for chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise in the laboratory and clinical aspects of haemopoietic progenitor cell transplantation through active learning and by engaging in professional development activities.
  • Provide education pertaining to routine laboratory standard operating procedures for less experienced staff with the support of senior laboratory staff.
