What You'll Do

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll:

  • Execute Preclinical Research Programs - Support the design and delivery of preclinical studies, performing laboratory activities with precision and maintaining high-quality experimental records.
  • Develop and Optimise Experimental Protocols - Collaborate with scientists to refine and implement innovative methods and SOPs that enhance research efficiency, quality, and reproducibility.
  • Maintain Laboratory Readiness and Compliance - Prepare materials and reagents, manage radioactive and chemotherapeutic substances safely, and ensure all work adheres to regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Analyse and Report Experimental Data - Compile, interpret, and present data to support project objectives, contributing to technical reports, study documentation, and team discussions.
  • Coordinate Laboratory Resources - Manage inventory, oversee biobanking and sample handling, and support smooth daily operation of research and preclinical facilities.
  • Collaborate and Build Capability - Work effectively within cross-functional teams, assist in onboarding and mentoring new team members, and contribute to continuous process improvement across research operations.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a motivated, organised and collaborative individual with:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in health, biology or related field with more than 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in standard lab techniques including tissue culture, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
  • Sound understanding of ethical principles and regulatory requirements for preclinical research.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills demonstrated through an accurate execution of experiments, careful documentation, and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in troubleshooting experimental challenges, working independently, and learning new techniques under supervision.
  • Advanced skills in preclinical research techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, western blot, cellular models, rodent models), project coordination, and preparing detailed reports and presentations is highly regarded.
