About the role

McKillop Insurance Brokers is looking for a General Broking Assistant to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania.

This is an entry level role where you will be supported to build your skills and experience to provide support to our professional staff including Account Executives.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare correspondence between clients and underwriters for the approval of the Account Executive or Executive Assistants
  • Updating reports and maintaining accurate client records and account information
  • Attending to payments and providing reception and administration support as needed
  • Collaborating with the team, demonstrating the principle that Together Everyone Achieves More
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building positive and productive relationships

What we're looking for

  • Working towards or a willingness to gain ANZIIF Tier 2 accreditation (we support you to do this)
  • Previous experience in an administration or reception role
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
  • Ability to use initiative, be results driven and motivated by a genuine desire to achieve the best outcomes for McKillops and our valued clients
