About the Role

As our Account Director – Public Sector Victoria, you'll take the lead in building and growing strategic relationships with government clients across state and local agencies. This is a hybrid role that blends business development with key account management, making it ideal for someone who thrives on driving growth while nurturing long-term partnerships.

You'll work closely with senior decision-makers to understand their challenges and deliver tailored learning and development solutions that create measurable impact. Success in this role means not only exceeding sales targets but also becoming a trusted advisor who can navigate the complexities of the public sector with confidence and credibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue by developing new opportunities and expanding existing public sector accounts
  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with senior government stakeholders
  • Identify client needs and design tailored training and development solutions that deliver value
  • Drive consistent improvements in customer satisfaction and account retention
  • Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain strong pipeline discipline
  • Navigate government procurement processes and ensure compliance across all engagements
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, finance, facilitators, and learning designers) to deliver seamless client outcomes
  • Maintain Salesforce hygiene and ensure all documentation meets compliance and legal requirements

About You

  • Proven track record in B2B consultative sales, ideally with a strong focus on the public sector
  • Demonstrated success in managing and expanding high-value government accounts
  • Deep understanding of government procurement frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Skilled in proactive pipeline development, lead generation, and opportunity qualification
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers across multiple levels of government
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a disciplined sales approach
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
