What you'll be doing
In this role, you will deliver high quality clinical education programs in consultation with Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Nurse Management, ensuring that staff are equipped to provide best practice care and achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
- Apply adult learning principles to support education that aligns with legislative requirements and organisational priorities
- Mentor and guide nursing staff to build and maintain competency relevant to their scope of practice
- Facilitate teaching and learning at the bedside using strong communication and advanced clinical expertise
- Work collaboratively with clinical and education leaders to plan, deliver and evaluate education programs for all levels of staff
- Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives and relevant committees to support operational and clinical advancement

Essential Criteria:
- Registration:Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/ education.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
- Demonstrated effective and high-level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
- Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
- Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
