Female Disability Support Worker – Coffs Harbour

We are seeking a compassionate FEMALE Disability Support Worker to support a friendly and independent man living in Coffs Harbour. Client has an Acquired Brain Injury and a Traumatic Brain Injury, and he values having support to maintain his lifestyle, hobbies, and independence.

Location: Coffs Harbour

Client: Male, with Acquired & Traumatic Brain Injury

About the Role Your support will include:

  • Personal care – washing/drying legs, feet, back
  • Domestic assistance – cleaning, washing, meal preparation, grocery shopping
  • Pet & wildlife care – feeding and bathing birds (pets & wild in backyard)
  • Gardening & lawn maintenance
  • Community access & outings – supporting Keith with shopping and local activities

Client uses an electric wheelchair at home and a portable wheelchair for outings. He drives his own car, which has a hoist for his chair. He enjoys woodwork, metalwork, and creative projects in his garage and shed.

About You

  • Patient, reliable, and respectful of client preferences
  • Comfortable around pets and wildlife
  • Able to assist with personal care, household tasks, and outdoor activities
  • Happy to support someone who smokes a herbal mix

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • VIC Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • Valid driver's licence and comprehensive car insurance
  • Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety and You online module

Pay Rates

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33
