Greenultimate Pty Ltd has been operating in the solar PV retail sector since 2010, with operations now expanded across four Australian states. We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Electrician to join our team.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable professional who is passionate about renewable energy and delivering high-quality electrical work in both residential and commercial solar projects.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Installation of Solar PV Systems
- Mounting inverters, main switches, and panels.
- Performing electrical wiring to connect all components of the PV system.
- Ensuring that all electrical connections are secure and in compliance with safety standards.
General Electrical Maintenance
- Identifying and addressing electrical issues, such as faulty wiring or malfunctioning components.
- Conducting repairs and replacements as necessary to maintain the integrity of the electrical systems.
Leadership in Installations
- Ensuring all installation work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements in the installation process.
- Supervising and guiding other team members involved in installations.
Site Visits and Pre-Installation Checks
- Assessing the site for suitability and safety.
- Verifying that all necessary equipment and materials are available before commencing the installation.
Technical Expertise
- Reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Understanding the layout and connections of solar PV systems.
- Following technical specifications to ensure correct installation.
Collaboration and Advisory Role
- Providing advice and guidance on solar PV design and installation requirements.
- Ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members.
Continuous Learning
- Staying updated on industry requirements and best practices related to solar installations.
- Keeping abreast of changes in standards and regulations.
- Making necessary adjustments to installation practices to align with industry standards.
Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
- Prioritising safety at all times during installations and maintenance activities.
- Implementing safety protocols to mitigate risks and accidents.
Other Duties
- Carrying out additional duties related to electrical work and solar PV installations as needed.
Requirements
- NSW Electrical Licence (essential).
- WA Electrical Licence (preferred/advantageous).
- Current SAA/CEC Solar Accreditation.
- Strong experience in solar PV installations and general electrical works.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
