We're looking for a passionate Senior Sustainable Environment Officer to lead this local Council's climate adaptation and sustainable procurement initiatives. This role will shape how the Council respond to climate risks and embed circular economy practices across our organisation.

Key activities

  • Lead development and delivery of climate adaptation and sustainable procurement strategies.
  • Build capacity across Council to manage climate risks and reduce environmental impact.
  • Champion low-carbon and circular economy solutions in procurement.
  • Provide expert advice and advocacy on sustainability and climate resilience.

Skills And Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, policy or sustainability (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience developing and implementing climate or environmental strategies.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing ability.
