– Lead the promotion of BG&E's Civil capability in local industry networking events and conferences.

– Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and actively participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as required

– Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements and systems

– Support the delivery of the Strategic Plan and associated initiatives.

– Collaborate confidently with external partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, and communicate effectively.

– Liaise with clients, local authorities and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projects.

– Develop relationships with adjacent disciplines within BG&E, such as Buildings, Bridges, Construction Engineering, Rail and other specialist and emerging businesses and service lines.

– Project management including preparation of fee proposals, planning and management of resources, engagement and management of subconsultants, managing budgets, tracking changes and delivery of projects on programme.

– Support design teams in project delivery to meet requirements for quality, completeness, compliance to Standards and processes.

– Design delivery including preparation of calculations, drawings, reports and other documents.

– Review project outputs, such as reports, correspondence, submissions, to ensure that information contained is appropriate, specific and does not lead to unplanned risk from a professional services perspective.

– Coach and mentor junior team members in areas of technical competence.

– Delegate work to team members, providing direction around scope, timeframe and hours budget.

– Ensure that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and BG&E

We are looking for someone who:

– Has successfully and repeatedly led the successful delivery of the civil scope on complex infrastructure projects.

– Continues to enjoy the pursuit of excellence in technical delivery to solve complex engineering problems but is looking (or has already begun) to take on more responsibilities in delivering projects, managing teams and growing a successful and sustainable consulting business.

– Takes pride in their work but at the same time, values just as much the need to develop and maintain a cohesive and enjoyable workplace culture.

– Aspires to be a leader who cares for their team and takes joy and pride in the success of their team members as much as their own success.

– Possesses a willingness to actively build and expand BG&E's network and brand in the South Australian market.
