Part-Time Medical Practice Manager – Specialist Gynaecology Practice

Our boutique specialist gynaecology practice of two gynaecologists, is seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Medical Practice Manager to oversee the operational, administrative, and strategic functions of the clinic. This role is suited to a professional with strong organisational and interpersonal skills who values both career stability and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day practice operations, reporting directly to the business owner/ surgeon
  • Manage and support administrative staff, including rostering, HR, and performance management
  • Build, implement, and monitor process driven systems across admin, surgical bookings and patient experience
  • Maintain and update the practice manual, policies, and compliance documentation
  • Oversee operating theatre lists, billing processes, financial reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate and implement marketing and patient engagement initiatives to support practice growth
  • Drive staff training, onboarding and professional development
  • Step into receptionist/administrative duties when required to ensure seamless service

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience in medical practice management (specialist practice experience highly regarded)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of medical practice management experience required
  • Strong HR knowledge and staff leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner
  • Proficiency in medical practice software (Xestro or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Medicare billings and Health funds
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset
  • Flexibility to balance leadership with hands-on support when needed
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
