About the role

Our boutique Specialist Women's Health Gynaecology practice of two gynaecologists is seeking a full-time Medical Secretary & Receptionist. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and reception support to the medical practice, ensuring seamless operations and a positive patient experience.

  • Full time, on site role (Monday to Friday) in our Bondi Junction practice
  • No weekends, no after hours work

What you'll be doing

  • Provide an outstanding level of customer service on the phone and in person, providing reception and administrative services to the patients, doctors and staff at the the practice
  • Be the face of the practice - greet and welcome patients to the practice, managing the front desk and reception area
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, maintaining the clinic's calendar
  • Manage medical records, filing, and data entry to keep patient information up-to-date
  • Assist with medical billing, insurance claims, and other financial administration tasks
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and a welcoming environment for all patients with strict

What we're looking for

  • Australian citizen/ resident or have permanent work rights in Australia
  • We welcome all candidates with excellent customer service skills. Previous experience as a medical secretary, receptionist, or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using medical software (Xestro or similar) is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations and procedures is desirable
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Able to work well independently, but also as part of a team

Salary is commensurate with experience.
