Field Network Engineer – IPTECHS Pty Ltd
Our client, IPTECHS Pty Ltd, seeks an experienced and self-motivated Field Network Engineer (ANZSCO to join their growing team. The role is full-time, offering an annual salary of AUD 75,000–80,000 plus superannuation, negotiable for the right candidate.
About the Business IPTECHS specialises in the scope, design, construction, and maintenance of ICT and telecommunication networks. The company delivers integrated solutions in network design, data cabling, infrastructure deployment, cloud systems, data analytics, and IT maintenance across commercial and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and integrate computer and network systems aligned with architectural specifications and data models.
Design and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including the setup of servers, routers, switches, and IP telephony systems.
Implement and manage SD-WAN solutions ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient network connectivity.
Automate configuration and performance tasks through coding and scripting to optimise network efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software faults to maintain system reliability and minimise downtime.
Test, maintain, and upgrade networks and servers to ensure consistent performance and compliance with standards.
Configure and manage Cisco systems including switches, routers, and firewalls, maintaining security and uptime.
Monitor network traffic and manage technical incidents, coordinating resolution with internal support teams.
Manage server environments, including database, email, print, and backup servers, ensuring data integrity and resilience.
Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation covering configurations, network diagrams, and maintenance records.
Conduct site surveys to assess network requirements, analyse existing infrastructure, and provide optimisation recommendations.
Install and terminate structured cabling systems across copper and fibre mediums, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Configure IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and security parameters; perform ongoing troubleshooting and support.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP) highly regarded but not mandatory.
Demonstrated experience with high-availability network environments.
Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a field-based technical team.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
