Step into a Role Where No Two Projects Are the Same
At Flanco, we're not your average civil contractor. We're a dynamic, fast-moving company delivering high-impact infrastructure across the mining and resources sector—from the Pilbara to the east coast, and everywhere in between. With a tight-knit, high-performing team and a strong pipeline of diverse projects, we're reshaping the way civil construction is delivered in some of the toughest environments in Australia.
Whether it's a concrete thickener at a gold mine, a tunnel project in remote WA, or the footings for a new paste plant—our work is varied, technically challenging, and anything but boring.
Why You'll Want to Join Us
- Impactful Role: You won't just manage projects—you'll shape them from the ground up. You'll be hands-on with scoping, planning, and execution, working alongside Directors, CFO and front-line leaders.
- Agile & Respect-Driven Culture: We value lean, efficient teams over bloated bureaucracy. Your voice will be heard, your ideas respected, and your leadership noticed.
- Project Variety: Our projects run from 3 to 12 months—just the right length to sink your teeth into without getting stale.
- Long-Term Opportunity: With ongoing projects and repeat clients, we offer true career stability in a company that's growing the right way.
- Team-First Environment: We're big believers in work ethic, loyalty, and crew that have each other's backs.
As a Project Manager, you'll lead the planning and delivery of complex civil projects with a core focus on concrete works. You'll oversee everything from tender handover to final handshakes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget. You'll work across multiple active projects and be a key leader and mentor within the business.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Take ownership of projects from pre-start to closeout
- Attend tender briefings and site inspections
- Collaborate with Estimators on tender reviews and project handovers
- Lead kick-off meetings and define critical success factors
- Develop comprehensive project job packs (ITPs, plans, methodologies)
- Create and manage project schedules using MS Project
- Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams
- Monitor personal performance against KPIs (cost, time, quality, safety)
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality protocols
- Visit project sites as needed to support site teams and ensure project alignment
Note: This is a Perth-based role, but travel to project sites across WA is required. There's no rigid FIFO roster—you'll manage your own time and presence across projects.
Who You Are: You're an experienced Project Manager who thrives on variety, autonomy, and the satisfaction of delivering tangible results. You're just as comfortable wearing steel-caps on-site as you are presenting project updates to stakeholders. You're technically savvy, solutions-focused, and people-smart.
Your Toolkit Includes:
- An Engineering degree and/or Diploma in Project Management (or solid practical experience)
- 5+ years of civil construction project management experience (concrete-heavy preferred)
- Strong grasp of project scheduling, construction methodologies, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office + MS Project
- Natural leadership skills with a knack for building relationships
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay cool under pressure
Ready to Build Something Better? At Flanco, we look for individuals who don't just want another job—they want to make an impact. If you're ready to lead projects that matter, grow your career in a company that values people and performance equally, and get your boots dirty doing real work with real teams—then we want to hear from you.
Apply now by sending your CV to Sharon Pearl – and bring your experience to the next phase of Flanco's journey.
