The Opportunity:

In this exciting role you will be responsible for leading and managing our Alexandria store's retail sales and customer service team to achieve and exceed sales targets for electric bikes, with a focus on providing an exceptional customer experience for families and commuters. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, coaching and mentoring sales representatives, and fostering strong client relationships. The Store Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, enhancing the customer experience, and expanding Lug and Carrie's market presence in the eBike retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns to drive revenue growth and lead, coach and motivate the retail sales and customer service teams to exceed KPI's.
  • Customer Experience & Relationship Management: Ensure the team provides an impeccable, premium customer experience maintaining our 5-star review status; Oversee the entire sales process, championing after sales support and relationship management and resolving complex customer issues.
  • Product & Market Expertise: Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Lug & Carrie eBike products, services and industry trends ensuring your team is equally informed and can demonstrate product features and benefits that align with customer needs.
  • Team Development & Operations: Foster a collaborative and high performing team environment ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. Recruit, onboard and provide ongoing coaching and training to the retail sales and customer service team, including developing sales tools and trackers, to drive operations and provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead Generation & Community Engagement: Lead the organisation of community and in-person events, representing Lug & Carrie and identifying opportunities for community engagement related to eBikes.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Three years of proven experience in retail sales, with at least one year in a leadership or management role. Experience in customer service and sales in an eBike environment preferred but not required.
  • Sales skills: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently with a strong understanding of sales principles, methodologies, and best practices. Ability to use sales tools and trackers and train others to meet targets would be an advantage.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership, coaching and team building skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Organisation: Strong ability to manage and organise work and self in a systematic, accurate and timely manner, with a knack for efficient and thorough administrative tasks (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Availability: Available to work five days a week including every Saturday.
  • Passion: Enthusiasm for eBikes, active transport, and urban mobility.
