Facility Manager - Residential Aged Care

Love leading with heart? mecwacare is looking for a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to lead our residential aged care home- Rositano House, our beautiful boutique style home, 30-bed aged care home located in Richmond.

As Facility Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of our home, ensuring exceptional care, comfort, and lifestyle for our residents. Reporting to the General Manager of Residential Services, you'll guide a passionate multidisciplinary team supported by experts in Quality, Learning and Development and P&C. operate under AN-ACC funding guidelines to drive continuous improvement and make the best use of resources. Together, we create a vibrant, inclusive community where residents feel valued, engaged, and truly at home.

What you bring:

  • Current and ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Previous experience as a Facility Manager
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a residential aged care setting in a clinical management role.
  • Proven ability to mentor and motivate staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, and a commitment to person centred care principles and continuous quality improvement.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Email, iCare) with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams, budgets, resources, and
  • operational performance.
  • Satisfies (ongoing) the requirements of 'Key Personnel' as defined in Aged Care Act 2024
  • Accredited to be an Infection Prevention and Control Lead having completed or training towards completion of the Department of Health requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of Aged Care Quality Review Standards and AN-ACC documentation requirements
  • Excellent customer service focus and ability to operate autonomously, responding to needs in a timely and
  • systematic manner.
  • Current First Aid, CPR and WWCC certifications
  • Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development, with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the aged care industry.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care, Health Services Management, or related field.
  • Experience with Aged Care Quality Review and regulatory audits.
  • Knowledge of dementia and palliative care.
  • Strong project management skills.
