As a Financial Accounting Manager, you'll lead a small team responsible for delivering timely, accurate corporate financial reporting across ORIX's operations. With direct reporting lines to the Financial Controller, you'll ensure that results are delivered to both local executives and international stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with Australian standards and global frameworks like US GAAP.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative finance environment.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage and lead the month-end close process and delivery of financial statements
  • Oversee statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports in the corporate reporting function
  • Liaise with tax, business analysis, and fleet accounting teams to ensure accurate financial inputs
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
  • Coordinate international reporting packages
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects and strategic reporting initiatives

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • CA-qualified accounting professional (mandatory)
  • Big 4 background (mandatory) with experience in mid-tier or large ASX-listed environments
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Proven experience managing a team and delivering results in deadline-driven environments
  • Financial services experience (essential); exposure to leasing, fleet, or asset finance is highly regarded
  • Understanding of international reporting frameworks
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a drive for improvement and ownership
