Primary Function: Is to be Silver City Drilling's on site representative regarding safety. Monitor and enforce employee compliance to all aspects of Silver City Drilling's (SCD) OH&S management plan. Monitor, and contribute to establishing requirements for field employee safety training plans.

Responsibilities

  • Administer compliance to all company OH&S policies and ensure procedures are followed in accordance with appropriate state and federal regulations by field all employees;
  • Contribute to regular reviews for all OH&S policies and procedures, to ensure compliance and validity of QMS as directed by management;
  • Provide copies of the updated QMS and relevant Act/Regulation documents to all project rig sites for reference purposes;
  • Review project Risk assessments and ensure compliance prior to commencing works;
  • Support the development of OH&S monthly reports, including site safety performance KPIs and other relevant information;
  • Provide support and guidance to Rig Manager to ensure drill site is OH&S compliant;
  • Facilitate SCD risk assessments, JSA and other risk and safety assessments on site;

Qualifications

  • Good communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills, with the capacity to develop a sense of team spirit toward achieving Company goals and objectives;
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety;
  • Understanding of Training and Competency levels required for Drilling Industry
    (preferable);
  • Drug and Alcohol testing
    (preferable);
  • G2 Risk Management
    (preferable);
  • ICAM or Tap Root Accident Investigation Certification
    (preferable);
  • Certificate IV in Training and Development TAE (preferable);
  • Demonstrated ability to build sound working relationships with Clients, management and staff at all levels in the organisation;
