About Us:

Nepean Belting is a leading provider of conveyor belting solutions in the coal mining industry. We pride ourselves on safety, innovation, and teamwork. Our underground teams are essential to ensuring the smooth operation of mining sites, and we are looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our Conveyor Belts Team.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Fitter in our Conveyor Belts Team, you will:

  • Install, maintain, and repair underground conveyor belt systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently and safely.
  • Work collaboratively in a high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, site procedures, and quality requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent experience in mining or heavy industry.
  • Experience in underground coal operations is essential.
  • Skills matrix (competencies signed by site SSE)
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and ability to work in challenging underground conditions.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.

Roster & Pay:

  • Standard roster: 4 days on / 3 days off (other rosters available on discussion).
  • Competitive industry rates.
  • Permanently site based.
