We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Contract & Procurement Management Specialist to support the delivery of complex contract management and procurement advisory services. This role is critical in ensuring the effective post-execution management of contracts and the development of robust procurement strategies that align with Commonwealth objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management Services

  • Develop and implement contract management frameworks, strategies, and plans.
  • Define and monitor contract performance metrics and compliance requirements.

  • Conduct or contribute to supplier performance and compliance reviews, including:

  • Supplier self-assessments of service delivery.

  • Adherence to Australian Industry Capability (AIC) requirements.

  • Develop, implement, or operate contract management systems, tools, or processes to track:

  • Communications and correspondence.

  • Contract performance and financial status (e.g., payments, securities).
  • Intellectual property and contractual claims (e.g., warranties, defects, liabilities).

Procurement Advisory Services

  • Analyse supply market trends and assess current and future market capacity and capability.

  • Design and develop procurement methodologies and contracting options to:

  • Mitigate commercial and delivery risks.

  • Reduce tendering costs and through-life ownership costs.
  • Minimise governance and administrative overheads.
  • Promote collaborative industry engagement and contemporary performance management.
  • Develop requirements definitions, business cases, procurement strategies, and tender documentation.
  • Lead or support tendering activities and provide expert advice throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Deliver training and guidance to Defence personnel on procurement methodologies and contracting strategies.
