The Opportunity: School-Based Trainee Educator

We are seeking motivated and passionate high school students to join us as School-Based Trainees at Glass House EEC. This is your chance to gain hands-on industry experience while completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care – all while still at school

You'll work alongside experienced educators, receive mentoring and support, and get paid while building a strong foundation for your future career in Early Childhood Education.

Schedule: Flexible, based on school commitments

Location: Glass House EEC

Hours: Part-time, aligned with your school timetable

Compensation: Earn while you study + benefits + super + retention 10%

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the care and education of children
  • Engage in fun, play-based learning activities
  • Support children's health, safety, and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with educators and families
  • Help with daily routines such as meals, tidying, and activities

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in high school
  • Commitment to completing Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Queensland Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Positive, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
