Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Procurement Officer to join our Melbourne-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring the seamless procurement of products to support our expanding retail operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining stock availability, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise to our stores and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and build relationships with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize cost-effectiveness while ensuring reliability and quality standards are met.

  • Collaborate closely with demand planning, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure procurement aligns with business needs and forecasts.

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain supply chain continuity.

  • Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate records.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles.

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in retail or the travel accessories industry is an advantage.
