The Role:

An exciting opportunity has been opened for a highly motivated and committed professional to join the Benang family as a Senior Estimator. Reporting to the Development Team, this role will be responsible for managing bids from start to finish, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting Benang's continued growth across Civil, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Utility Infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes:

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in estimating
  • Proficiency in Expert Estimator Software or similar programs
  • Previous experience in estimating for heavy industry projects across Civil, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Utility Infrastructure Construction
  • Tertiary qualification or proven lead estimating experience preferred
  • Ability to manage bids from start to finish
  • Support the Development Team in business development activities
  • Strong supplier, contractor, customer, and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop industry estimating norms and best practices across projects
  • Create simple budgets from approved estimates and follow the full pre-contract process
