AJEKA is seeking a
Technical Business Analyst
with strong
SQL and data skills
to help solve complex business challenges across Australia's banking sector.

You'll work at the intersection of business and technology — analysing problems, uncovering insights, and shaping data-driven solutions that strengthen compliance, performance, and customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate and analyse business challenges, using data to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, testable, and implementable solutions.
  • Develop and run SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data from multiple banking systems.
  • Support data integration, migration, and reporting initiatives across platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Informatica.
  • Contribute to the design of data models, process maps, and governance frameworks that enable accuracy and transparency.

  • Strong
    analytical and problem-solving
    skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Proven experience in
    retail or commercial banking
    — understanding products, processes, and regulatory obligations.
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    and data analysis for diagnostics, reconciliation, and insight generation.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills, bridging business priorities and technical delivery.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using
    Jira
    ,
    Confluence
    , and collaboration tools.
