We are seeking to establish a Pool of Casual Visitor Service Officers at the WA Museum Boola Bardip for vacancies that may arise within the next 12 months, with the possibility also of Permanent, Fixed term, Full-time, and Part-time appointments.

About the role
The Visitor Services Officer (VSO) provides a welcoming environment and high-quality experience for WA Museum visitors. They help to ensure the safety of visitors and staff within the Museum, as well as the security of the Museum Collection.
About you
We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a positive team environment and delivering high quality customer service.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Relish working in a customer service environment.
- Be confident in public speaking to provide a high level of visitor engagement through advanced tours, and interpretive programs.
- Work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Process admission sales.
- Support public events and functions through either the event set-up and/or pack down, and through tours.
- Provide a high standard of security and safety for visitors and the Museum precinct.

Eligibility to Apply
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid Work Visa (for fixed term appointments), or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
A current (within six (6) months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department's Police Record Screening Policy.
We will also require the following for this role:
- A current Working with Children Check.
Pool Recruitment
This Pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full-time, part-time, and casual appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
Applicants found suitable in this Pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) for the duration of the Pool.
