The Role

An opportunity has become available for a/several Psychologist (Adolescent Day Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments within the ADP specific to children, young people and their families
  • Utilise clinical skills in the areas of clinical psychology in the Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS)
  • Contribute a psychological perspective to the team meetings/clinical reviews regarding treatment planning decisions
  • Maintain own professional development through participation in seminars, further trainings and professional interactions with other psychologists

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Psychology
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Driver Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

The Adolescent Day Program (ADP) is part of the state-wide CYMHS continuum of care providing specialist, multidisciplinary assessment and integrated treatment for adolescents with severe, complex and persistent mental illnesses which results in severe psychosocial impairment.
