Perth, Western Australia Vans Cafe and Deli Full time $60,000 - $70,000 per year

We are looking for a full time talented Senior Chef de Partie with experience in larder or hots- an all-rounder who can cook beautifully under pressure.

Vans Café is a well-established business with a very talented kitchen team serving Modern Australian cuisine with an Asian twist.

Located in Cottesloe, Perth WA we are minutes from the beach & close to train station and bus stops.

  • Applicant must be tidy, organised and a passionate chef.
  • Must be able to cook a la carte larder dishes to order.
  • Vans prides itself on using fresh seasonal produce. Our menu changes regularly and we value input from all our chefs.
  • You would be working with a professional passionate team who are extremely good at what they do.
  • We also value work/ life balance and offer rosters to reflect this.
  • Must have completed AHA Covid-19 hygiene course
  • Must have Food Handlers certifcate
  • Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or 5 years work experience in lieu of qualification
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Full time hourly wages with all weekend penalties and all overtime paid
  • Equivalent to minimum of $60,000 to $70,000 plus super
  • Good life work balance, flexible and family friendly
  • Must be in Perth to apply and have full work rights in Australia

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below:

  • Setting up & running section
  • Ensuring section team is producing food to our high standard in a timely manner
  • Plan menus & contribute to specials
  • Cooking a la carte to order
  • Responsible for ordering & maintaining sections prep levels
  • High personal hygiene
  • Follow all health & safety procedures
  • Maintain all cleaning registers
  • Liaise with senior kitchen management
  • Stocktaking of section
