About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled paralegal to take ownership of contract administration while providing valuable legal support to our business. You'll work at the intersection of law and engineering, reviewing complex contracts, advising internal stakeholders, and ensuring our contractual obligations and compliance requirements are met.

As our Paralegal - Contracts Administration, you'll be the go-to person for contract matters, handling everything from NDA reviews to client negotiations, and knowing when to bring in external legal expertise for more complex issues.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Advisory Services: Provide practical legal guidance to internal teams on contractual matters, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Negotiation: Work directly with clients to negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Compliance Oversight: Review existing policies and compliance frameworks, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • NDA Administration: Manage the review, drafting, and approval of Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Legal Coordination: Liaise with external legal counsel on complex matters while handling routine issues independently

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Paralegal qualification or relevant legal studies (Bachelor of Laws or equivalent)
  • 2-3 years' experience in paralegal or contract administration role
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent understanding of contract law and commercial agreements
  • Outstanding attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with engineering and/or environmental contracts
  • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with contract management systems

What Makes You Stand Out

You're a proactive problem-solver who knows when to handle matters independently and when to escalate. You have strong business acumen, can build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and take pride in delivering accurate, timely legal support. Your sound judgment and professional approach inspire confidence in those you advise.
