Responsibilities (Cook)

  • Assist the head chef with preparing and cooking menu items to spec
  • Maintain high standards in food presentation and timing
  • Keep stock levels in check and communicate shortages
  • Ensure the kitchen stays clean, safe, and organised
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team
  • Manage the kitchen effectively and efficiently in absence of the head chef

Responsibilities (Chef)

In addition to the above:

  • Monitor quality and consistency of dishes
  • Help train and support new kitchen team members
  • Uphold hygiene standards and kitchen compliance
  • Contribute to efficient stock and labour cost management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a restaurant cook or chef level
  • Strong understanding of food and safety standards
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills/proficient in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (essential)
