We standardise our service steps while giving our team freedom to recognise and delight regulars.About the roleYou'll organise daily operations, prioritise guest experience, and lead a team of 25 across lunch and late trade. You'll own rostering, cost control, compliance, and training programmes, ensuring every shift runs smoothly.Key responsibilitiesOrganise weekly rosters to meet demand and labour targets; approve timesheets.Lead pre-service briefings; maintain service standards and colour-coded section layouts.Monitor COGS and wastage; standardise ordering and stock rotation; complete stocktake catalogues.Oversee RSA and Food Safety programme compliance; ensure all permits and licences are current.Coach and performance-manage FOH; run onboarding and ongoing training to instil best practice.Manage guest feedback and incident logs; recognise trends and action improvements.Maintain venue assets; schedule repairs; manoeuvre small equipment safely as needed.Build fortnightly sales forecasts; coordinate promos with marketing; update POS.Liaise with suppliers; receive deliveries; verify dockets; prioritise discrepancies.About youProven leadership in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality groups.Exceptional ability to organise people, prioritise under pressure, and communicate clearly.Strong grasp of RSA/Food Safety compliance; comfortable with audits.Skilful with POS, rostering, and inventory systems; intermediate Excel/Sheets.Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays; comfortable with late trade.Current driver's licence helpful for off-site runs (not essential).Schedule & remunerationFull-time; rotating roster; two consecutive days off where possible.Competitive package with bonus potential tied to guest satisfaction and labour/COGS performance.Why The Grey SpoonHands-on owner support, development programme, and real progression.Team culture that aims to utilise your strengths and celebrate wins.
