What is Pop's Grad Program?
A permanent full-time position as a Speech Pathologist in an industry leading, innovative telepractice Start with our new graduate program during the first 12 months of your employment, followed by a career progression pathway tailored to your strengths. Your program includes:
- A dedicated Team Leader and buddy.
- In-person work week to complete onboarding in our HQ in Brisbane
- Full training & resources to succeed in telehealth.
- Supervision and informal support from the whole team.
- Peer support from other Speechies on the New Graduate Program.
- A bespoke personal and professional development plan tailored to your strengths and interests.
- A professional development budget and paid leave to attend training in courses of your choice, e.g. Hanen, Lidcombe, Sounds~Write etc.
- Attendance at Pop Academy, our in-person 2-day all-expenses-paid training retreat.
- All the equipment you need to get started including Surface Laptop and a HUGE box of clinical resources and toys.

Onboard In-Person in our Brisbane HQ
We will host you and your fellow New Grads in our HQ in Brisbane to complete a week of in-person onboarding and training (flights/accomodation/meals covered by Pop). This will allow you to bond with your fellow New Grads as well as provide a space for you to ask all the questions, meet some of your mentors/Pop's leaders face-to-face and to see telehealth sessions demonstrated in person
Unparalleled, Unlimited Supervision and Support
We support your personal and professional transformation from student to speech pathologist with daily supervision for your first month and regular one-on-one sessions as you continue your journey. You will also have unlimited access to our support channels on Slack where you are encouraged to ask your questions about telehealth, assessments, clinical resources, activities and planning sessions, alongside the opportunity to book a supervision session with any of our experienced senior clinicians.
Your Own Team Leader and Dedicated Peer Supervision Buddy
We pride ourselves on the high level of guidance and assistance that we provide our employees. Whether it's a clinical question, help with paperwork or managing a complex client interaction, you will have the support you need to grow your skills. Your Team Leader is your cheerleader who will work with you to set goals (and then achieve them) for your personal and professional development. Your buddy is there to answer all of those (seemingly) silly questions as they have been-there-done-that and are a great sounding board and support for you both personally and clinically.
Full Training in Telehealth Service Delivery
We are an industry leader in telehealth with over 5 years of experience in delivering telehealth (yes, we did telehealth before COVID). We have a HUGE amount of resources and knowledge to ensure you thrive in your telehealth role, including completing assessment and therapy via teleheath and client engagement.
Comprehensive Onboarding with a Slow Ramp-Up Period
Our extensive onboarding system will give you the confidence to manage your clinical role and work-from-home lifestyle. We will gradually increase your client load across the first few months to ensure you have time to learn everything you need to succeed in your job

Ongoing Professional Development
We believe professional development is as important in your first year as any other year You have an annual professional development (PD) budget and paid days to attend the PD. Your Team Leader will work with you to design a custom learning plan that will be a mix of external and internal PD. Our in-house PD library has over 50 hours of videos You will also be invited to our virtual training days and in-person annual retreat (all expenses paid trip to the Tweed Coast).
Collaborative Diary Scheduling With A Mixed Caseload
At Pop, we have paediatric and adult clients with a full spectrum of needs. We service everything from Early Intervention, Speech Sound Disorders, Language and Literacy, and Fluency to Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Social Communication, Swallowing, Voice, and Acquired Communication Disorders (e.g. aphasia). All our Speechies are encouraged to select clients and fill their diaries based on their clinical interests; we believe in providing a high-quality service with high job satisfaction
